Win a Lifetime Membership to Footnote

The marketing guys were looking for a way to get the word out about the new I Remember Facebook application, so they opened the Marketing Playbook and found the chapter entitled “Give Stuff Away” and decided it was worth a try.

You can get all the details here, but the short of it is,

  1. Use the I Remember application to create a page for someone
  2. Share the page with your friends
  3. 5 of them go to the page and click the I Remember button and remember that person
  4. You’re entered to win a lifetime All-Access membership to Footnote

Only one lifetime membership will be awarded, but they are also giving away an annual All-Access membership each day between May 21 and the end of the month.

We hope you’ll find I Remember to be a great way to honor and share memories about the family, friends, classmates, teachers and others who have influenced your life.

Let us know what you think.

  1. I don’t remember your step #3 in the post – “5 of them go to the page and click the I Remember button and remember the person.”

Is that the actual requirement? And do they HAVE TO put something in the “I Remember” field?

The email notice I received said “Celebrate Memorial Day by remembering your loved ones with I Remember, a Facebook application created by Footnote. Remember someone with I Remember and then share the page with 5 of your friends and you’ll be entered to win a lifetime, All-Access membership to Footnote.com”

That’s a big difference in requirements.

  2. Randy,

I apologize for the confusion. The idea behind the contest is to have people create a page using the I Remember application and then have five people remember that page through you sharing that page.
Those you invite who click on the I Remember button on the page are not required to put something in the I Remember field (although it would be nice to have that additional information shared). I hope this answers your questions.
